COLLIER COUNTY, FL -
At least two possible tornadoes were spotted in Collier County early Sunday afternoon. Although it has not yet been confirmed by the National Weather Service, a likely tornado was spotted touching down east of Goodland near US-41. An NBC2 viewer reports that the funnel cloud remained on the ground for at least 5 minutes just before 12:00 p.m. and crossed US-41, going northeast towards I-75. More funnel cloud sightings have been reported in rural areas of Collier County.
Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Glades, Hendry and DeSoto counties remained under a tornado watch until 8:00 p.m.
